New Year, New Library for Union County!

The Union County Library Foundation, in partnership with the Union County Library, is excited to announce a new chapter in library services for Union County!

Construction of Southwest Regional Library (SWRL), located near the Cuthbertson schools’ campus, is underway. The new 20,000 sq. ft. library will serve 70,000+ residents in the communities of Marvin, Mineral Springs, Waxhaw, Weddington, and Wesley Chapel and is planned to open in early 2024. SWRL will be a gathering place where residents of all ages, backgrounds, ethnicities, and socioeconomic means will find the resources and support they need to succeed.

We encourage your advocacy, service, and financial support as Union County writes this next chapter in creating indoor and outdoor library spaces that are as inspiring as the empowered learning taking place within.

Join the Foundation as we launch the Our Library, Our Future Capital Campaign.
